Gas Cooker, Oven and Hob Installation Requirements.

The installation requirements for gas hobs and cookers are mandated in law by The Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998, apply in every case and can only be modified by the official manufacturers installation instructions, which can usually be consulted online before purchase.The wiring supply and connection requirements, are covered by the IET wiring regulations.

All work on a gas appliance must by law be carried out by a suitably qualified and registered Gas Safe engineer even if it doesn't involve a gas component or is being done for free!

All Oven Expert installations completed are to the latest edition of both the the IET wiring regulations and the HSE GS(I&U) 1998 most existing fittings will comply but if your installation requires modification or improvement to do so and this falls outside the included works we will provide you with a quote or an estimate depending on the nature of the requirements, a price list of some simple electrical tasks that can be completed on the day are listed below, additional gas work outside our included fittings will need to be quoted at the time.
